Where Are You Most Likely To Get A Speeding Ticket In Florida

Speeding tickets happen, but they don’t have too. When you find yourself in a jam, then you might be stuck wondering how much you have to pay and if it is going to affect your insurance, your driving record, and more. If you find yourself with a speeding ticket in Florida, it is important that you speak with Florida speeding lawyers that can help you with your case.

Last year, almost half of all speeding tickets were written in what are known as the “big 6” countries like Palm Beach, Orange, Hillsborough, Miami-Dade and Duval. This is because these are the most populated areas in the state and between those that live there and those visiting, there a lot of people driving and most of them speeding through the counties.

Where Are The Most Tickets Handed Out

Broward County is the top of the list for the most tickets written in the past year in Florida. With over 75,000 tickets written up, this is an alarming number from those in the county. The second is Miami Dade with over 71,000 tickets that were passed out to cars that were speeding through the area.

Third in place is Palm Beach County. One of the most popular cities to visit, a lot of the tickets coming and going from this area are from visitors. Writing up close to 50,000, that is still a decent amount of tickets that have been written up and passed out.

Other Florida Counties With High Ticket Rates

Fourth is Duval County and this is a smaller county in comparison to the others, but there were still over 45,000 tickets handed out because of speeding through the area. Orange county is also responsible for close to 45,000 tickets, giving Duval county a run for its money. With many police officers that are out there handing out tickets, you can choose to drive the speed limit or be one of the thousands that has gotten a ticket.

Hillsborough is the last county that is on the list and they still hand out over 30,000 speeding tickets to those that have blown through the area. Due to this, the ticket numbers continue to soar to heights that are over where they should be. You shouldn’t have to worry about this amount if you are doing the speed limit, but those that do not can find themselves with a ticket and a request to show up at the courtroom to pay it.

Fighting A Florida Ticket For Speeding Violations

With the right lawyer for your case, you might be able to get the charges against you dropped. This is always a good thing to think about, especially if the price of the ticket is high. Having the perfect way to drive around the area and not have to worry about those speeding tickets is important. You want to make sure that you’re not worrying about the big fee that might come with them or having to go to the courtroom, especially if you’re just passing through the area. If you do find yourself saddled with a speeding ticket, consider contacting a traffic attorney to help you plead your case.
